Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented Mid-Autumn gifts at the Center for Orphans and Disabled Children

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, on the afternoon of September 27, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and gave gifts to children at the 19/3 Orphanage and Disabled Children Center and Mother Teresa Calcutta Orphan and Disabled Children Center.

At the Centers, comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, on behalf of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, presented each Center with 10 million VND and candy to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival for the children; at the same time, highly appreciated the dedication and responsibility of the mothers and sisters taking care of the children here.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh also requested the Center to continue to promote the noble spirit of charity, make more efforts, overcome difficulties to care for children with less fortunate fates, help them have conditions to rise up, live useful lives for society. Continue to follow the example of Jesus who came to this world to save people, especially the poor and suffering.

Nurturing Centerorphans and disabled children19/3 in Nghi Dien commune is raising and caring for 40 children and Mother Teresa Calcutta Orphanage and Disabled Center in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district is raising and caring for 43 children. The children cared for here are mostly severely disabled, most of them are congenitally disabled, many are victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, Japanese encephalitis,... and a few are orphans.

The children at both centers are raised and cared for by the sisters of the Congregation of Missionaries of Charity of Vinh Diocese. With the spirituality of "Living charity in the spirit of the Gospel, giving all to others, being devoted to the disabled, the elderly, the sick and the homeless", over the past time, the sisters have devoted themselves to serving, contributing to society to ease the pain of the less fortunate.

With the motto of accompanying the poor and disadvantaged people in society, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province will always share with the centers in taking care of orphans, disabled children, and disadvantaged people in society, to "no one is left behind"Together towards building a prosperous and happy life.
