Unbelievably, V.NB, composed entirely of young players, still plays a resilient and powerful style of football. In the stands, Ninh Binh fans continue to show their passionate support for their team with unwavering love.

The surprise came in the 21st minute when, from a lightning-fast counter-attack, Balwant finished accurately, giving Churchill Brothers the lead.

However, the visitors' lead lasted only a minute. In an attack, Duc Linh passed the ball to Van Thang, who then unleashed a superb curling shot into the far corner, leveling the score at 1-1. In the 27th minute, Duc Linh again provided the assist, and Sim Woon Sub raced down to face the opposing goalkeeper before slotting the ball into the net. The score was unexpectedly raised to 2-1 for V.NB, much to the delight of the fans in the ancient capital.

Van Quyen had an outstanding match.

For the first time, Van Quyen wore the number 10 jersey for V.NB and entered the field with the mindset of playing his last match. The striker from Nghe An played with great effort, cheered enthusiastically by about 50 Nghe An fans. In the 30th minute, Van Quyen made a skillful run and shot towards the far corner, but the ball narrowly missed the post. In the 69th minute, Sim Woon Sub passed the ball, and Van Quyen ran down and calmly shot into the far corner, increasing the lead to 3-1 for V.NB.

The entire Ninh Binh stadium erupted in pride, and Van Quyen was congratulated by his teammates and embraced by coach Van Sy.

In the following minutes, Churchill Brothers pushed forward, launching an all-out attack. In the 80th minute, their Indian opponents were awarded a penalty, and Shabana converted it into a goal to reduce the deficit to 2-3 for Churchill Brothers.

In the 90th minute, after a shot was saved by the opposing goalkeeper, Van Quyen executed a superb free kick, curving perfectly through the air to seal a 4-2 victory for V.NB. This unexpected but well-deserved win, securing V.NB's place in the 2014 AFC Cup quarter-finals, brought immeasurable joy to the fans of the ancient capital.
