Since her husband's accident, Pham Thi Que has not had a single night of sleep. |
Since Mr. Cong had an accident, Ms. Pham Thi Que (born in 1973) had to stay at the hospital to take care of her husband. Their three children are studying at a university far away. Their mother and brother had to ask neighbors to cook and look after them. For more than a month, Ms. Long missed her son and panicked, often leaving home to look for him, causing the neighbors to scream many times.
A neighbor recounted with a sorrowful voice: Since the day Mr. Cong had his accident until now, the neighbors have been running back and forth, each taking a hand as if it were their own family business. Some agreed to cook for them, others were responsible for keeping an eye on Mrs. Long and Mr. Lap. When they ran out of rice or food, they called their nephew in the neighborhood to bring it. Every night, the nephew had to go down to check if Mrs. Long was still sleeping at home or if she had run out. As for Mr. Lap, every night he climbed over the wall to sleep in the abandoned kindergarten.
