Transporting 50 kg of explosives from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An for sale.
(Baonghean.vn) -The Security Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police has just arrested a suspect for illegally transporting 50kg of industrial explosives.
Through intelligence gathering, the Security Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police learned that Nguyen Thi Lan (born in 1968), residing in Thuong Hai hamlet, Hai Thanh commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province, was suspected of being involved in the illegal trade of explosives.
Through professional investigative methods, at approximately 4 PM on July 12th, on National Highway 1A in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province, a task force from Team 3, Security Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, discovered Nguyen Thi Lan transporting two suspicious cardboard boxes on a motorbike and proceeded to conduct an inspection.
The suspect Nguyen Thi Lan and the seized evidence were apprehended.
The inspection revealed that the two cardboard boxes contained 25 nylon packages of explosive sticks with a total weight of 50kg. At the police station, Nguyen Thi Lan confessed to transporting the 50kg of explosives for hire from Tinh Gia to Nghe An for sale.
The incident is still under investigation.
