Transported nearly 200kg of firecrackers to get 2.5 million VND

(Baonghean.vn) - Tran Duc Cuong agreed to transport 198 kg of firecrackers for a man for 2.5 million VND. He was arrested while transporting the goods.

On December 22, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that the unit had just presided over and coordinated with the Customs Control Team (Nghe An Customs Department), Market Management Team No. 2 (Nghe An Market Management Department) and Dien Yen Commune Police (Dien Chau District) to successfully crack down on a case, arresting Tran Duc Cuong (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Yen Commune, Dien Chau District, for the act of "Trading and transporting prohibited goods".

Previously, on December 20, at Nam Cam intersection, Bac Son 1 hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district, the functional forces coordinated to successfully break up the case, arresting Tran Duc Cuong while he was transporting firecrackers. Evidence seized on the spot included 8 snake skins, containing a total of 198 kg.fireworkexplosive; 1 white truck.

Subject Tran Duc Cuong confessed that he was hired by a man to transport the above amount of firecrackers from Dien Chau district to Nghi Loc district for the amount of 2.5 million VND.
Currently, Nghi Loc District Police are temporarily detaining suspect Tran Duc Cuong to strictly handle him according to the law and continue to expand the investigation.
