(Baonghean.vn) - One of the topics of interest to press agencies and reporters at the February 2015 regular press briefing was the issue of festival management.
On March 9th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications held their regular monthly press briefing for February 2015. Comrades Le Ba Hung – Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Ho Quang Thanh – Provincial Party Committee Member and Director of the Department of Information and Communications, presided over the meeting. Attending the conference were Comrade Ho Mau Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and representatives from media agencies inside and outside the province.

In February, press agencies proactively followed the propaganda guidelines of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and important political, economic, and social events, providing timely and comprehensive information on outstanding economic and cultural events in the province and the country, effectively meeting the information needs of the people.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, although print newspapers are closed, press agencies inside and outside the province, and television stations continue to update information, disseminate news on current affairs and political events, provide information on socio-economic issues, national defense and security, and reflect the joyful and warm atmosphere of the New Year celebrations in a timely and diverse manner on online newspapers and websites.

At the briefing conference, representatives from several media outlets and reporters raised issues regarding the management of spring festivals, including phenomena such as price gouging, superstition, begging outside temples and pagodas, and profiteering at festivals. Mr. Ho Mau Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, thanked the media for their attention and reporting on the festivals, as well as some of their negative aspects. The cultural sector is coordinating with relevant authorities to address and rectify these distorted aspects of the festivals.
