Campaign to create posters promoting gender equality.
The competition aims to further promote awareness among the community about gender equality.
On the morning of July 16th, in Hanoi, the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the launching ceremony for the 2013 poster design competition promoting gender equality.
The creative content revolves around themes related to achieving gender equality in eight areas of social and family life: politics, economics, labor, education and training; science and technology; culture, information, sports and tourism; health; and family. It also promotes the implementation of the goals of the "National Strategy on Gender Equality 2011-2020" and the "National Program on Gender Equality 2011-2015"; the goal of increasing women's participation in management and leadership positions to gradually reduce the gender gap; and forms of preventing gender-based violence.

Mr. Ngo Hoai Trung – Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said: “Due to awareness, history, and culture, the issue of gender equality in Vietnam still faces many challenges. Therefore, organizing this competition aims to continue to promote awareness among the community about gender equality. This will create an environment where all women and men have equal opportunities.”
The artwork should be created on paper measuring 54 x 79 cm and sent to the "Advertising and Propaganda Department - Department of Grassroots Culture" (86A, Lane 3, Le Van Huu Street, Hanoi) from now until August 20, 2013.
