Van Gaal could lead Everton
Although Watford manager Marco Silva is still leading the race to become Everton manager, another strong contender has emerged: Louis van Gaal.
Since Ronald Koeman was sacked, Everton have been unable to find a suitable replacement, forcing assistant David Unsworth to step in as interim manager. However, this is not a long-term solution and Everton are still trying their best to choose the right person.
The Blue half of Merseyside was very interested in Marco Silva but received a blunt shake of the head from Watford. While everything seemed to be at a standstill, a new development suddenly occurred. A series of British newspapers confirmed that former MU coach, Louis Van Gaal, is a strong candidate for the hot seat at Goodison Park.
According to bookmaker SkyBet, the odds of Van Gaal being hired are 7/2 (bet 2 win 7), higher than Sean Dyche (10/1) and Sam Allardyce (20/1) even though his working time in the Premier League cannot be as long as the above two candidates.
