Dien Chau culture in the historical flow of Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 18, Dien Chau district organized a workshop 'Dien Chau Culture - Values ​​in the cause of innovation'.

This is one of the important activities of the celebration of the 1,390th anniversary of the name Dien Chau.

Attending the workshop were comrades Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam; Truong Dinh Tuyen - former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Minister of Trade; Hoang Xuan Luong - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Ho Xuan Hung - former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Representatives of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. Especially, there was the participation of scientists and delegates of the Dien Chau Association in Hanoi.

On the side of Dien Chau district, there were comrade Tran Van Cuong - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Chu The Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, vice chairmen of the District People's Council - People's Committee, and related departments and branches.

In 2005, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Dien Chau district organized a scientific conference to celebrate the 1380th anniversary of Dien Chau (627 - 2007) with the participation of historical science researchers.

Based on the source of documents through ancient books and scientific reports, the conclusion was drawn that the time of birth of the name Dien Chau was 627, that conclusion is completely scientifically based. On November 22, 2006, the Institute of History issued document No. 150 determining the year of the name Dien Chau: "Regarding the time of the name Dien Chau as the name of an administrative unit, the official history books, the historical land administration books of our country and China recorded relatively consistently that it was in the first year of Trinh Quan of the Tang Dynasty (ie 627). In the past nearly 14 centuries, although the administrative management level of the district has changed from Chau, Phu, to Huyen, along with the change of the management scope, the name Dien Chau has been kept since the Tang Dynasty, this is a rare case in the history of administrative place names of our country".

And this time, to celebrate the 1390th anniversary, Dien Chau organized a workshop "Dien Chau Culture - Values ​​in the cause of innovation" to summarize the theory and practice of the past formation and development of Dien Chau district over the past 1390 years and supplement the cultural values ​​of Dien Chau in the cause of innovation.

This conference has 24 presentations focusing on main contents such as An Duong Vuong and the dream of the people becoming a saint; Famous people of Dien Chau; Building Dien Chau into a livable land; Dien Chau, the land of literature; Historical Dien Palace and the urbanization process; Dien Chau in the heart of national history; Visiting Cuong Temple, not forgetting the pain of losing the country; Dien Chau language - a component part of Nghe Tinh fishing; Dien Chau generals - the combination of culture and dedication...

At the workshop, many opinions said that, in order to preserve the cultural and historical values ​​of the ancient land of Hoan Chau, Dien Chau today, it is necessary to have a Phu Dien cultural museum - a place to preserve the culture, history, economy and society of the land of culture. And in a short time, Dien Chau must rise to become a dynamic town in all fields of Nghe An province.

How to be worthy of the 1,390-year-old title of Dien Chau, how to not only develop the economy but also preserve and promote traditional cultural values ​​are the things that delegates and scientists are most concerned about at this conference.
