Nghe An artists exchange poems and music to celebrate National Day
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Spring Music Club has just organized an exchange with the theme "Autumn Melody", celebrating the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution 1945 and National Day September 2.

At the exchange meeting held on the morning of August 24, 41 members of the Tao Dan Xuan Club presented many special performances and works, with the theme of praising the landscape, cultural and historical traditions of the homeland and country; expressing love, pride and national self-respect.

Also at the program, Tao Dan Mua Xuan launched a new composition campaign with the theme "Remembering the old ferry", recalling Ben Thuy ferry - the "fiery throat" during the fierce years of fighting against the US.
A special performance in the program "Autumn Melody" is the exchange of Mr. Nguyen Dang Che - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Head of Ben Thuy Ferry during the most fierce period of the US imperialists' war of destruction in the North.

He recounted the painful yet heroic years with emotion: During 8 years of fighting, each officer, worker and soldier of Ben Thuy ferry had to endure 150 bombs and bullets. 26 officers and soldiers of the ferry died, 92 were injured, at times the number of sacrifices and casualties reached 75% of the total number of soldiers. There were times when the blood of my comrades dyed the Lam River red, but no one backed down, all of us kept in mind "It's better for my heart to stop beating but the ferry cannot be blocked"...
