In order to promote the sports movement in general and the Nghe An amateur football movement in particular, creating conditions for physical training and exchanging experiences between units in the area, the Nghe An Provincial Amateur Football Association will organize the 5th Vinh League Football Tournament in 2017.

This year's Vinh League will take place over 3 months. Matches will start at 4pm every Sunday with a round-robin format. The rules of the competition will be applied according to the 7-a-side Mini Football Rules issued by the Sports and Physical Training Committee.

This year’s tournament has 12 participating teams. Just like previous years, Vinh League is a tournament that attracts many faces of Vietnamese football. In addition to retired stars such as Van Quyen, Huy Hoang, Thanh Van, Lam Tan... the tournament also has the participation of about 20 professional players currently playing for SLNA and many other V.League teams such as Ngoc Hai, Nguyen Manh, Phi Son...

After 11 rounds, the Champion team will receive the Cup, flag and 20 million VND in prize money; the Second and Third place teams will receive 10 million VND and 5 million VND respectively. The 2 teams at the bottom of the rankings will have to move down to the First Division (amateur league) and the 2 teams in the amateur league will be promoted next season.

The 5th Vinh League is expected to open on May 14. The matches will take place on the artificial turf field of Vietnam - Korea College.
