Van Quyen and Que Ngoc Hai play football to raise funds to help Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

(Baonghean.vn) - NOn the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union,SLNA stars and former Nghe An players organized a special football match for charity purposes.

The two participating teams are FC Family No1 and VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Club from Ho Chi Minh City. The home team includes players who have played for the national team, players who are currently playing for domestic clubs and friends such as: Nguyen Huy Hoang, Pham Van Quyen, Que Ngoc Hai, Tran Nguyen Manh, Nguyen Hong Viet, Pham The Nhat...

Despite the difference in class, both sides gave the audience an exciting match with 14 goals scored. The 8-6 victory belonged to FC Family No1.

The total amount of money raised was nearly 60 million VND, which was used to help two children with congenital heart disease in difficult circumstances and to start building a road to the house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Sau in Trung Thuan hamlet, Hung Dong commune, Vinh city.

Mr. Bui Duc Thanh, Director of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat, head of the delegation, said: "We traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh City to attend this football match with the purpose of raising funds to help disadvantaged people in Nghe An. I hope there will be more meaningful matches like this, both promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, interacting with SLNA stars, and being an opportunity for the young generation to show their responsibility to society."
