Domestic gold continues to increase

Survey at 5:00 a.m. on February 6, 2024, gold prices on the trading floors of some companies are as follows:

DOJI listed 9999 gold today at 75.95 million VND/tael for buying and 78.25 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey listed the price of SJC gold at 76.70 - 77.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was also traded by the enterprise at 76.23 - 78.35 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
The world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,025.950 USD/ounce, down 13.8 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 58.833 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 17.367 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Crude oil prices continue to rise

According to data from Oilprice, at 8:52 p.m. on February 5 (Vietnam time), Brent oil was trading at $77.46 per barrel, up $0.13, or 0.17%, from the previous session. Meanwhile, WTI oil was recorded at $72.3 per barrel, up $0.02, or 0.03%, from the previous session.
According to analysts, investors remain cautious about any escalation of tensions in the Middle East. With the geopolitical situation showing no signs of cooling down, oil prices could rebound.
Steel prices rise 30 yuan on the exchange
Steel priceToday (February 6), on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, it increased by 30 yuan to 3,883 yuan/ton.
The DCIOcv1 iron ore contract for May delivery on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) closed 2.23% lower at 941 yuan ($131.07) a tonne, marking its lowest level since Jan. 19.

Meanwhile, the benchmark SZZFH4 iron ore price for March delivery on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) fell 3.24% to $126.75 a tonne, marking its lowest level since January 18.
Pressure to cut emissions is mounting on China’s steel industry, and the extension of output curbs will be a fresh headwind for iron ore demand.
However, steel prices today in the domestic market tend to decrease.
According to market research firm Kallanish, due to weakening demand for hot-rolled coil (HRC) in Vietnam, Hoa Phat Group has adjusted its HRC prices down again after a series of previous slight price increases.
Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Plant has reduced its listed HRC price in the Southern region by VND630/kg (about USD30/ton). Shipments are expected to be delivered in April - May 2024, at VND15,000/kg. Meanwhile, the factory price for the Northern and Central regions is set at VND14,970/kg.
Coffee trend slightly up
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:24 a.m. on February 6, with a slight upward trend, increasing by 400 - 500 VND/kg. The average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces was 78,900 VND/kg, with the highest price in Dak Nong province being 79,400 VND/kg.

Specifically, coffee was purchased in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces at a fairly high price of 78,900 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at the highest price of 79,400 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 78,200 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak province today, in Cu M'gar district, coffee was purchased at 78,900 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it was purchased at the same price of 79,000 VND/kg.
