At just after 9 AM, Doji Group listed SJC gold bars at 37.80 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 38 million VND/ounce (selling price) for retail transactions and 37.81 million VND/ounce - 37.99 million VND/ounce for wholesale transactions. Compared to the end of the previous day, the price increased by 350,000 VND in both directions.
According to the price list of Saigon Jewelry Company, the price of SJC gold in Ho Chi Minh City is trading at 37.70 million VND/ounce - 38 million VND/ounce, also an increase of 350,000 VND/ounce. PNJ sharply raised its price to 37.75 million VND/ounce - 38 million VND/ounce.
Thus, after falling below the 38 million VND mark for a period, the price of gold has returned to this level. Trading on the market is sluggish because Hanoi is experiencing widespread flooding, with many streets turning into rivers, causing investors to hesitate.
On the global market, gold prices yesterday moved in one direction, mainly upward. Closing the session at $1,312.84 per ounce, an increase of nearly $30 per ounce. This morning in the Asian market, spot gold prices continued their upward trend, trading at $1,315.4 per ounce.
Yesterday, the USD index corrected sharply downward for the fifth consecutive day, falling to its lowest level in six weeks. The downward trend remains dominant for the greenback. And the unusual correlation between gold and the USD creates a favorable environment supporting a rise in gold prices.
According to the analysis, the immediate resistance level for gold is $1,313.8 per ounce, followed by $1,320.3 per ounce. The first support level is $1,300 per ounce, then $1,290 per ounce.
Currently, the price of gold in Vietnam remains about 4.5 million VND higher than the world price per ounce.
