Gold rose slightly, reaching 42.27 million VND per tael.

Domestic gold prices on the morning of May 6th saw a slight increase compared to the end of last week, with the selling price standing at 42.27 million VND per ounce.

At 8:50 AM, the price of SJC gold in the Hanoi market was listed at 42.10-42.27 million VND/ounce (buying/selling price). Compared to the selling price at the end of last week of 42.25 million VND per ounce, the domestic gold price this morning has increased by approximately 20,000 VND per ounce.

At the same time, in Ho Chi Minh City, the buying price of gold was 42.10 million VND/ounce and the selling price was 42.25 million VND/ounce.

Meanwhile, commercial banks such as Sacombank, Techcombank, Eximbank, etc., also traded SJC gold at 42.08-42.25 million VND/ounce (buying/selling price).

This morning, Bao Tin Minh Chau's Thang Long Dragon gold is listed at 40.01 million VND/ounce for selling and 39.85 million VND/ounce for buying, unchanged from the end of last week.

Following the upward trend domestically, world gold prices also increased by approximately $6/ounce and currently stand at $1,476/ounce.

At the current price, after converting using the Vietcombank exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 37.25 million VND/ounce, which is more than 5 million VND/ounce lower than the domestic SJC brand.

On the domestic foreign exchange market, the average interbank exchange rate applied on May 6th was 20,828 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous session. The ceiling exchange rate applied to commercial banks remained at 21,036 VND/USD.

This morning, the highest selling price for USD at major commercial banks was listed at 20,965 VND/USD, while the buying price ranged from 20,910 to 20,920 VND/USD.

Specifically, Vietcombank and Vietinbank are currently selling USD at the same rate of 20,965 VND/USD. Meanwhile, the buying rates at these two banks are 20,915 VND/USD and 20,920 VND/USD respectively. BIDV, on the other hand, is currently listing the buying/selling rates at 20,910-20,960 VND/USD.
