On low water days, it is possible to travel by motorbike, and it takes an ordinary person about 2 hours to reach the commune center. Because the two sides of the road are high mountains, most people have to go through the stream. During the rainy season, the water level of the Nam Ngan River rises. On those days, the entire Na Ngan village is completely isolated. Photo: Ho Phuong |

The water volume of the Nam Ngan stream is quite large, even in the dry season the stream is still deep, causing many difficulties for road users. The motorbikes of the Na Ngan villagers have a very short lifespan. When buying them, people have to ask the craftsmen to modify some parts such as the nozzle, air filter... to suit the use of deep stream roads. Photo: Ho Phuong |

Na Ngan residents said they hope to have a road to travel. “Many cases of illness and emergency care have to spend hours carrying the sick from the village to Highway 48C before taking a bus to the hospital. There are cases where there is no time to save them,” said a resident. Photo: Ho Phuong |
