(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Sam Van Han in Pao 2 village, Quang Phong commune (Que Phong) was attacked by a bear when he went alone into the deep forest to collect dong leaves to sell during Tet.

At around 8am on February 5, Mr. Sam Van Han went into the forest to collect dong leaves to sell to people to make Tet banh chung. At around 2pm the same day, Mr. Han arrived at Pha Huong forest, the border between Que Son and Quang Phong communes, and suddenly encountered a black-furred bear, about 1.7m tall.
The wild bear attacked Mr. Han. Because he was standing close to the cliff with no way to escape, Mr. Han was forced to lie down on the ground, holding his breath and pretending to be dead. However, before leaving, the bear had torn a large part of Mr. Han's head and torn his elbow deep into the bone.

After the bear left, Mr. Han tried to crawl back to the camp of Quang Phong commune residents and was taken to the Que Phong District Medical Center for emergency treatment. He is currently being treated and monitored.
It is known that Mr. Han has a wife and a 2-year-old child. His family is a poor household in Quang Phong commune. Every day, they have to collect forest products and work for hire to make a living.
According to many people in Pao 2 village, Quang Phong commune (Que Phong), this is a poisonous bear that has lived in the old forest area for ten years. Many forest workers have tried to trap it, but it is very cunning and there is no way to conquer it. People are very worried and hope that the authorities will take measures to ensure the safety of the people and protect wild animals.
