Scholes warns Man Utd about Amorim
Manchester United are set to welcome manager Ruben Amorim, who made a splash at Sporting CP, after terminating Erik ten Hag's contract.
Former Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has been cautious about the excitement surrounding Amorim, as it reminds him of when Ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford with high expectations, but ultimately failed to deliver.

Scholes shared on the showThe Overlap Fan Debate: “The excitement reminds me of Ten Hag when he joined Manchester United. Ruben favours a very attractive style of possession-based play with three centre-backs - something Manchester United haven't really shown yet. If he can implement this style, it could be a breath of fresh air."
Scholes, however, is not caught up in the excitement and maintains that Manchester United need a manager with character and experience at the highest level, saying that current England boss Thomas Tuchel would be a better choice because he has “managed big clubs and knows how to win big games”.
Klopp speaks out against criticism
Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, has responded to criticism after he took up the role of Global Director of Football at Red Bull in October.
“I don’t know what I can do to make everyone happy. I don’t want to hurt anyone and I still love my old clubs very much,” Klopp expressed his thoughts on the podcast. In the rain

Klopp has made a strong impression as a strategist with a passion for pure football, from his time leading Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund to winning the hearts of Liverpool fans. However, many people think that his philosophy is somewhat contradictory to Red Bull's approach to football.
Klopp previously said when he announced his departure from Liverpool that he was “running out of energy”. This surprised many when he took on a role at Red Bull, starting in January 2025, six months after leaving Liverpool.
The Red Bull drinks empire has invested in clubs across three continents, changing the colours and crests of its long-standing clubs to match its brand. Fans of Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund have been particularly angry at RB Leipzig, a club in the Red Bull franchise in Germany, and have criticised Klopp on social media. Mainz fans also used a Bundesliga match against Leipzig to unfurl a banner targeting him.
MU won big when Van Nistelrooy became interim coach
In Van Nistelrooy's first temporary stint as manager, MU crushed Leicester 5-2 in the English League Cup.
With home advantage, MU quickly put pressure on Leicester City and the results came early. In the 15th minute, Casemiro helped MU take the lead with a superb long-range shot. The Brazilian midfielder's powerful shot from outside the penalty area sent the ball straight into the top corner of the goal.

Continuing their winning streak, the "Red Devils" continuously created trouble in front of the "Foxes" goal and Garnacho's goal in the 28th minute came as a matter of course. From this point on, the two teams brought an exciting attacking game.
In the second half, both sides continued to play an open style of play. MU maintained the initiative and controlled the tempo of the match with short, smooth combinations. However, the team led by coach Van Nistelrooy scored another goal from the opponent's fatal mistake.
Captain Bruno Fernandes completed his double in the 59th minute with a simple finish. In the following minutes, although both teams attacked in search of more goals, all stopped at the opportunity level. In the end, MU won 5-2 against Leicester, thereby winning a ticket to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
