(Baonghean) - At the end of the year, the commodity market begins to bustle. In addition to necessities, feng shui items are increasingly attractive to many people in many social classes, especially those in business. "Catching" the feng shui wave, some feng shui item traders have ignored the reputation and conscience of the profession, mixing fake goods into their stalls, making this market increasingly chaotic, making it very difficult for customers to determine the accuracy of the item.

Feng shui items are rich in variety, from mascots carved from various materials to glass balls, water tanks, stone paintings... At the end of the year, at the stores selling feng shui items on Dinh Cong Trang Street, Chu Van An Street, at Big C Supermarket..., one cannot help but be overwhelmed by the myriad of items of various shapes, colors, and prices, which according to the store owners, all have meanings and effects of increasing vitality and fortune for the homeowner.

Some stores have proactively collected goods 2 or 3 months ago to serve customers' needs at the end of the year. The origin of the goods is quite diverse, from China, Thailand, Brazil..., accordingly, the quality and price are also different. This is what makes it easy for customers to get confused when looking to buy items, especially when the seller spreads a "maze" with winged words about the effect of vitality and prosperity. Accordingly, each type has a different effect, for example, the golden toad has the effect of generating wealth, the Ruyi scepter helps everything go smoothly. In particular, Pixiu must be played in pairs, because the male Pixiu attracts wealth, the female Pixiu is a pillar of wealth, or like cabbage, it means fertility, many children, and much wealth... Not only selling goods, depending on the needs of customers, these stores are willing to do more consulting work, just need to provide information about the year of birth, the seller will read out clearly what type to buy, where to put it in the house, how to neutralize bad directions, take advantage of good directions... Many sellers even assert that the level of fake goods has reached the "class" of the real thing in terms of design and form, sometimes the seller himself can also make mistakes if he does not master the "tricks" of evaluation and analysis.

Digging deeper, the shop owners revealed that real feng shui items are of course still available, but in limited quantities, and usually only in reputable and large-scale shops because the selling price is very high. Most of the products floating on the market are from China - with technology pressed from stone powder, attractive and diverse designs, affordable prices, and visually very attractive to customers. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc (5th floor - Le Loi Apartment), because he listened to the shop's advice and because he "liked the look", bought a fake product, he shared: "I heard that quartz stone has the effect of warding off evil spirits, so I bought a piece for nearly 5,000,000 VND, but after half a month of bringing it home, the stone changed color and had a very unpleasant smell, it was a real waste of money". After that, he decided to find out the truth to learn from his experience, and then he found out that the piece of quartz was actually just industrial stone powder pressed into a mold and then magically "colored" to make it beautiful, it looked very sophisticated and elaborate on the outside but in fact it was a "boiled" product. Not only Mr. Ngoc, many people love to buy feng shui items without equipping themselves with basic feng shui knowledge, besides being fooled, decorating and suppressing items haphazardly in the house also causes loss of aesthetics and many adverse effects.

From a scientific perspective, Feng Shui is an applied science, not simply a hobby or a spiritual concept as many people think. Vietnamese people should use mascots that are closely related to their country's culture, because they are suitable for the soil and local culture, so they have an effect on the lives of Vietnamese people. Many rich people are polite and prefer foreign things, not understanding that this will "distort" Feng Shui and negatively affect their lives.
