2020 National U17 Championship Finals: SLNA U17 gets off to a smooth start.
(Baonghean.vn) - The final round of the 2020 National U17 Football Championship continued with the first match in Group B on the afternoon of September 19th. In their opening match, U17 SLNA staged a comeback to secure a convincing 3-1 victory against U17 Saigon.
The SLNA youth academy is known as one of the leading centers for youth football development in the country. Despite the slippery and wet pitch conditions, and falling behind early, the SLNA U17 players still displayed a coherent style of play, creating excellent pressing. Dinh Xuan Tien's equalizer from a penalty in the 10th minute was the result of a series of relentless attacks that kept the opposing defense busy.

In the following minutes, U17 Saigon made a great effort to regain control of the game, however, they did not have many opportunities to threaten goalkeeper Canh Tiep's goal.
Furthermore, in injury time, U17 Saigon conceded another goal when Van Cuong broke free on the left wing, crossed the ball into the penalty area, and captain Van Bach easily tapped it in from close range, securing a 3-1 victory for U17 SLNA.
In their next match, U17 SLNA will face U17 Phu Yen on September 21st, while Saigon will have to confront Nutifood Academy, a team that performed very impressively in the qualifying round.
