Female badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh has just become the 7th athlete of Vietnamese sports to officially win a ticket to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Nguyen Thuy Linh - Vietnam's No. 1 female tennis player announced the good news on Facebook: "Hello everyone, for those who love, support and follow me throughout my journey, especially the 1 year of accumulating points to reach the 2024 Paris Olympics. Today, I would like to officially announce that I have qualified to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics."

Nguyen Thuy Linh finished the Olympic qualifying round with 48,350 points, ranked 17/35, in group 2 in the draw results at the Paris Olympics.
Vietnam's No. 1 female tennis player also participated in the Olympics for the second consecutive time, after her achievements at Tokyo 2020.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, although she could not advance to the next round, Thuy Linh created a new milestone for Vietnamese badminton when she had 2 wins in the group stage of the women's singles.
Legend Romario returns at age 58
On the afternoon of April 17, ESPN reported that the legendary Romario returned at the age of 58. He plays for America Football Club, a team that competes in Campeonato Carioca - a playground in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
