Many abandoned cities and villages still attract tourists, such as Bodie (USA), Consonno (Italy) or Ordos (China).

Bodie Town: is a familiar destination for many tourists in California, USA. Inside the town are houses dating back to the Gold Rush period. Many gold seekers came here with the dream of becoming rich by collecting gold nuggets. Thousands of people flocked to Bodie to make a living. But after the entire gold mine was exploited, the crowd left and the town was devastated. Many houses were burned down by fire. City of Consonno:once known as the Las Vegas of Italy. This land has been abandoned with buildings rotting after a landslide. However, this is an ideal place to play hide and seek. Ordos:is one of the abandoned places in China. The government of this country decided to build a new urban area in the heart of Ordos. This city can accommodate up to a million people but in fact only 100,000 people live there. Many supermarkets, schools, police stations have been abandoned for a long time. |
