Ticket prices for Ben Thuy bridge officially increased

(Baonghean.vn) - From 6:00 a.m. on January 1, 2016, the ticket price for Ben Thuy 1 and Ben Thuy 2 bridges has officially increased according to Circular 51/2014/TT-BTC dated April 24, 2014 of the Ministry of Finance.

Ticket prices for Ben Thuy 1 and Ben Thuy 2 bridges officially increased from 6am on January 1, 2016.

Accordingly, the fare for vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons and public passenger buses increased from 30,000 VND/trip to 45,000 VND/trip. Vehicles with 12-30 seats, trucks with a load capacity of 2 to under 4 tons increased from 40,000 VND/trip to 60,000 VND/trip. Vehicles with 31 seats or more, trucks with a load capacity of 4 to under 10 tons increased from 50,000 VND/trip to 75,000 VND/trip. Trucks with a load capacity of 10 to under 18 tons and trucks carrying goods in 20-foot containers increased from 80,000 VND/trip to 120,000 VND/trip. Trucks with a load capacity of 18 tons or more and trucks carrying goods in 40-foot containers increased from 160,000 VND/trip to 180,000 VND/trip.

Security and order situation, traffic through the bridge is guaranteed and well maintained.

According to the Vinh City Bypass BOT Branch (Transportation Construction Corporation 4), this fare increase is based on Circular 51/2014/TT-BTC dated April 24, 2014 of the Ministry of Finance on regulations on collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of road use fees at Ben Thuy Bridge Toll Station and Ben Thuy Bridge II Toll Station.

For example, the fare for vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons and public passenger buses with a new monthly ticket price of 1,350,000 VND/month will temporarily apply the old fare of 900,000 VND/month.
