North Korean spy satellite captures images of the White House and the Pentagon
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 28, North Korea said its military reconnaissance satellite took photos of the White House, the Pentagon, and a nuclear aircraft carrier anchored at a US naval base.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un viewed the photos on November 27 and 28 when he received an operational report from the Pyongyang General Control Center of the National Aerospace Technology Administration (NATA), the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
KCNA said that Mr. Kim Jong-un observed satellite images of the White House and the Pentagon recorded at 11:36 pm on November 27.
The spy satellite also took pictures of Naval Station Norfolk, Newport News Shipyard and an airport in Virginia at 11:35 p.m. on November 27. Four US Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and a British aircraft carrier were spotted in the pictures.
North Korea launched the Malligyong-1 reconnaissance satellite on a new Chollima-1 rocket not long ago after two failed attempts in May and August. The country announced that it would launch more satellites in the near future. North Korea did not release the photos taken by its reconnaissance satellite.
