VFF adjusts transfer time mid-season 2021
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (April 8), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) accepted the proposal of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to change the transfer time in the middle of the 2021 national professional football season.
Accordingly, the time for football teams to change players is extended to 4 weeks, from April 26 to May 23, instead of June 24 to July 21. Thus, the time to register for transfers in the middle of the 2021 national professional football season is nearly 2 months earlier than the original plan.

The reason for the above change is due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, V.League 2021 had to be postponed for a long time (from February 1 to March 13). In addition, it is to create the most favorable conditions for the Vietnam National Team to compete successfully in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers which will take place next June (competing centrally in the UAE).
