Traffic violator also used golf club to assault traffic police
On the morning of August 5, a clip was circulated on social networks recording images of traffic police officers on duty in the area of Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (Lang Thuong Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi) being cursed and assaulted by a young man driving a car.
Accordingly, the incident happened at around 5:40 p.m. on August 4, when the young man drove his car from DaeWoo Hotel to Nguyen Chi Thanh.
When arriving at the Nguyen Chi Thanh - De La Thanh intersection, the driver turned left towards De La Thanh Street, however, this road is prohibited for cars so the traffic police signaled him to stop. The young man got out of the car, cursed and assaulted the officer of Traffic Police Team No. 2 standing at this checkpoint.

Then the young man got in the car and ran away in the direction of Nguyen Chi Thanh. The officer of Traffic Police Team No. 2 used the walkie-talkie to notify support units.
When the car reached the intersection with Huynh Thuc Khang Street, the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 3 here discovered it and signaled the car to stop. The subject stopped the car in the middle of the road, argued with the traffic police, then pulled out a golf club and hit an officer of Traffic Police Team No. 3.
The subject was then subdued and handed over to Lang Thuong Ward Police. Lang Thuong Ward Police handed over the case file to the Dong Da District Police General Investigation Team to investigate and handle according to their authority.
