Why did coach Park Hang Seo set a target of 4 points at the 2019 Asian Cup?
Coach Park Hang Seo believes that 4 points will be enough to help the Vietnamese team pass the group stage at the 2019 Asian Cup.

According to the new format of the 2019 Asian Cup, the third-placed teams in the group stage still have a chance to qualify for the knockout round. Therefore, coach Park Hang Seo believes that 4 points are enough for the Vietnamese team to definitely advance.
Sharing with Tasnim News (Iran), coach Park Hang Seo said: "To enter the round of 16, we need at least 4 points. It is too difficult for the Vietnamese team to defeat Iran, so we will focus on the remaining 2 matches with Iraq and Yemen."
“After winning the 2018 AFF Cup and previous successes, Vietnamese fans have high expectations. However, realistically, our goal at the 2019 Asian Cup is simply to get past the group stage.”
Before coach Park Hang Seo set a goal for the Vietnamese team, VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh also said that we can absolutely enter the knockout round if we play at our full potential.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will play a friendly match with the Philippines on December 31 in Qatar before flying to the UAE to attend the 2019 Asian Cup. On January 8, Park Hang Seo and his team will have their opening match against Iraq.
