The purpose and ultimate destination of the E-6B aircraft are unknown, but they are designed to detect and identify enemy targets for attack.

The E-6Bs, which are modified Boeing aircraft, cost $141.7 million each. The aircraft are believed to have undergone top-secret training missions for the Department of Defense.
