(Baonghean.vn) This afternoon (July 25th), the People's Procuracy of Nghean province solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Second Class Independence Order and commemorate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Procuracy Sector (July 26th, 1960 – July 26th, 2015). Attending the ceremony were, from the Central Government, comrades: Nguyen Thi Thuy Khiem – Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Hoang Nghia Mai – Permanent Assistant to the Secretariat of the Central Committee, former Deputy Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy. At the ceremony, on behalf of the leadership of the Provincial People's Procuracy, Mr. Tang Ngoc Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member and Chief Procurator, reviewed the 55-year journey of building and developing the People's Procuracy of Nghe An province.

Since 1960, after President Ho Chi Minh signed the decree promulgating the Law on the Organization of the People's Procuracy, on December 21, 1960, the Supreme People's Procuracy issued Decision No. 01 on the establishment of local People's Procuracies, including the People's Procuracy of Nghe An province. From then until now, through many historical periods of the country and the province, the People's Procuracy of Nghe An has overcome many difficulties and challenges, fulfilling its nhiệm vụ and achieving many accomplishments in protecting socialist legality, ensuring the strict and unified enforcement of laws, and maintaining political security and social order in the locality. The tireless efforts of the collective of many generations of cadres and prosecutors of the People's Procuracy of Nghe An throughout its 55 years of development have been recognized and awarded many prestigious titles by the Government, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the People's Committee of the province. Many collectives and individuals of the Nghe An People's Procuracy have been recognized with the titles of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier of the People's Procuracy Sector," "National Emulation Soldier," and awarded various types of Labor Orders. From 2002 to 2014, the Nghe An People's Procuracy continuously achieved the title of "Excellent Labor Collective," was awarded the "Emulation Flag of the People's Procuracy Sector" five times, and the "Government Emulation Flag" three times; in 2002, it was awarded the "Third Class Independence Order" by the President. And on the occasion of its 55th anniversary, the President decided to award the Second Class Independence Order to the collective of cadres and prosecutors of the Nghe An People's Procuracy.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Khiem, presented the Second Class Independence Order to the Provincial People's Procuracy.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Khiem warmly congratulated the achievements of the collective of officials and prosecutors of the Nghe An Procuracy; affirming that the Nghe An People's Procuracy is one of the leading units in the entire sector. At the same time, she also reminded the collective of officials and prosecutors of Nghe An of several issues to improve the performance of their duties in the future.
Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Le Quang Huy – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – once again reiterated the important position and role of the Provincial People's Procuracy throughout its 55 years of establishment; affirming that the collective of officials and prosecutors have made important contributions to maintaining political security, social order and safety, socialist legality, protecting human rights, citizens' rights, the interests of the State, and the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals, creating a stable environment for the socio-economic development and international integration of the province.
