At the beginning of the meeting, which was meant to celebrate the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3 and celebrate the country's spring, the art troupe of the Xieng Khouang Overseas Vietnamese Club living in the capital Vientiane sang the song "The Party gave us a spring" by musician Pham Tuyen, which was warmly welcomed by the entire hall.
The speech presented by Mr. Khamchanh Syphanthong, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Club in Xieng Khouang, said: Through the form of overseas Vietnamese association activities, the Overseas Vietnamese Club in Xieng Khouang has spent more than 40 million kip (50 thousand US dollars) to give gifts to visit and help people affected by floods in Lao localities.

Over the past 3 days of Tet, the Vietnamese community in Laos had a happy, warm and safe Tet. They participated in the New Year's Eve program organized by the General Association of Vietnamese. Accordingly, leaders of the Lao Party and State also participated and wished the people a happy New Year.
The meeting at the beginning of the year of the Dragon had a profound political meaning. Overseas Vietnamese people expressed their trust in the Party and pride in their homeland; sang songs praising the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, praising the homeland of Vietnam and Laos, and together performed the Lam Vong dance according to the traditional customs of the Lao people.
