On November 13, in response to a reporter's question regarding the statement of the Spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 8, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam completely rejects all contents of the statement related to Vietnam by the Spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 8 regarding the issue of sovereignty over the Truong Sa archipelago.

On this issue, Vietnam has repeatedly affirmed that Vietnam has sufficient historical evidence and legal basis to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in accordance with international law. Historical facts clearly demonstrate this.

Vietnam's consistent policy is that all international disputes, including disputes over sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, must be resolved by peaceful means in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter. Vietnam hopes that China will make joint efforts to contribute to the development of bilateral relations and the maintenance of peace, security and stability in the region.
