Vietnam builds friend-foe distinction system for SPYDER
The Air Defense - Air Force Service has successfully produced and tested the MH-VN1 machine used to distinguish friend from foe equipped with the SPYDER missile system.
This information was published by PK-KQ newspaper. Through actual inspection, the Acceptance Council unanimously assessed that MH-VN1 products ensure full equipment, are newly manufactured with highly reliable components, apply new technologies, fully meet approved technical and tactical parameters, and are qualified for installation and pairing for use on the SPYDER air defense missile system.
The successful manufacture of MH-VN1 products has affirmed the capacity and intelligence of the staff of the Air Defense - Air Force Technical Institute in researching, designing and manufacturing new products to serve the missions of the Air Defense - Air Force Service and the Army, meeting the requirements of the missions in the new situation.

Vietnam upgrades its own air defense missiles. |
Vietnam's acceptance of the MH-VN1 system is of special significance because it is one of the important components of the SPYDER air defense missile system, as it is an air-to-air identification device to distinguish between friend and foe, ensuring that no wrong target is shot during combat.
Thus, along with the signing of the contract to purchase modern SPYDER air defense missiles from Israel, the Air Defense - Air Force Service has simultaneously deployed many especially important tasks to be ready to receive and put the new missile complex into service, training, and combat readiness.
Specifically: The Service organizes English and basic technical training classes for carefully selected officers and cadres from units throughout the Air Defense - Air Force Service that are given priority to be equipped with the new generation SPYDER air defense missile system.
According to the plan to receive new weapons, units have proactively trained foreign languages (English) at the unit and deployed the construction of new battlefields to meet the technical and tactical requirements of this modern missile line.
The organization carefully received and brought them to the units safely for immediate training, quickly mastered new, modern weapons, and was ready to protect the assigned airspace. And one of the important parts was to successfully research and manufacture, and put into mass production the MH-VN1 interrogator to distinguish friend or foe.
Having this device helps missile troops, in this case units equipped with the SPYDER complex, to quickly identify targets, in order to make decisions to launch missiles, ensuring no mistaken shots, no missed opportunities to destroy the enemy, completing assigned missions, and not letting the Fatherland be surprised by situations from the air.
This event marked an important step of maturity in both equipment and the level of mastery of the technology to manufacture accompanying equipment, helping the squads equipped with SPYDER missiles to fully exploit the technical and tactical features of the new generation of modern air defense missiles.
