Usually around 10:30 pm on October 21, the constellation Orion begins to fully appear in the eastern sky. The best time to observe is at 0:30 am when the constellation Orion has risen high enough and around 3:30 am - 4 am, this constellation will be at its highest.
At its peak, observers can see 20-30 meteors per hour under good weather conditions. However, the Orionids peak near the full moon (13th, 14th lunar month). Therefore, moonlight will significantly block the meteors. To observe meteor showers, astronomy lovers should stay away from high-pressure lamps, choose a place with little air pollution, and not be obstructed from view.
It is very important to determine the weather. Many observers have found that if you can see a few dozen stars, you will have a chance to see a meteor shower. Observers also need to choose safe locations to fully enjoy the natural phenomenon./.
