Vietnam provides Galil rifles to Laos
Laos's kpl.gov.la website has just posted information saying that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense has presented its neighbor with a number of advanced Galil ACE assault rifles.
According to images published by the press of the neighboring country, the Ministry of National Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has just presented the Ministry of National Defense of the Lao People's Democratic Republic with a shipment of advanced Galil ACE assault rifles.
It is known that the above action is a greeting from the Vietnam People's Army to the Lao People's Army on the 70th anniversary of its founding. It is likely that these Galil guns (Galil ACE 32 version) will be used by the other side in the parade held in the next few days.
Thus, not long after appearing at the Indo Defence International Exhibition 2018, Vietnam's Galil ACE assault rifle was officially exported abroad. Although this is a non-refundable aid, it is also a sign of a bright future for the above weapon.

The Galil ACE 31/32 assault rifle is currently being produced by Factory Z111 under license from Israel's IMI Defense Industries Group. This gun line is compatible with the 7.62 x 39 mm M43 ammunition that the AK is using.
Galil ACE versions are expected to gradually replace the legendary AK-47 and AKM in the equipment of Vietnamese soldiers. Its biggest advantage is its modern design, easily integrating many types of combat support accessories.
In addition to appearing in a number of parades, the Galil ACE 32 assault rifle and its short-barreled carbine version, the Galil ACE 31, have been equipped for a number of special forces.

Based on the Galil ACE 32 and AKM platforms, at the Indo Defence International Defense Exhibition, Vietnam for the first time launched two "unique" assault rifle models, the GK1 and GK3, combining the body of the Galil ACE with the barrel and gas block of the AKM and adding an AK-74-style fire cover.
According to military experts, this combination helps Vietnam have a gun that possesses the advantages of both Galil and AK, which is a high rate of fire (700 rounds/minute), flexible automatic mode, single shot and 3-round burst, while still maintaining the accuracy and power of the AKM.
It is very likely that the GK1 and GK3 assault rifles made in Vietnam will become sought-after items in the world arms market (not only among armed forces but also among weapon collectors) if we intend to export them soon.
