Vietnam to watch meteor shower tomorrow
The Eta Aquarids meteor shower - a remarkable astronomical phenomenon this month - will peak in the early morning of May 6 with about 20-30 meteors per hour.
Eta Aquarids is an average meteor shower, occurring annually from April 22 to May 20. In Vietnam, the best time to observe is early morning on May 6, around 3am until dawn.
"At this time, the sun will set early before the Aquarids rise, so it will not hinder observations," said Mr. Dang Vu Tuan Son, Chairman of the Young Astronomers Association.

Most of the Eta Aquariids meteors will originate from the constellation Aquarius, so viewers just need to look to the eastern sky to observe.
The meteor shower originates from the famous comet 1P/Halley. On its way, this comet leaves behind its debris, forming long meteor trails. Every year, when the Earth crosses the path of this comet, the meteors hit the Earth's atmosphere and burn up due to atmospheric pressure, creating many shooting stars.
