Vietnam to 'eliminate' sterilized milk from 2018

Sterilized milk is no longer available on the Vietnamese market from March 1, 2018 when the National Technical Regulation on liquid milk comes into effect.

In which reconstituted milk is the product.Liquid dairy products made primarily from water with powdered or evaporated milk. Mixed milk is made from a mixture of raw fresh milk, milk products or milk components.

The concept of sterilized milk will no longer exist in the Vietnamese market. Currently, liquid milk mixed from powdered milk is called sterilized milk. This name makes it difficult for users to distinguish between fresh milk and milk mixed from powdered milk.

Fresh milk is also divided into whole fresh milk and fresh milk. The way to distinguish is that whole fresh milk does not add or separate any components of milk; while sFresh milk can be supplemented with sugar and other ingredients such as fruit juice, micronutrients, food additives...
