Vietnam is the happiest country in Asia

Vietnam ranked 5th in the top 10 countries with the Happy Planet Index in 2016 and became the happiest country in Asia. Thailand is the second Asian country in the top 10. Costa Rica is the country with the highest HPI index in 2016. This place is highly appreciated because all the money is focused on health care, education, the army was disbanded more than 60 years ago.

The list of countries topping the Happy Planet Index following Costa Rica is Mexico, Colombia, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Panama, Nicaragua, Bangladesh, Thailand, Ecuador.

The 10 least happy countries are Chad, Luxembourg, Togo, Benin, Mongolia, Cote D'Ivoire, Turkmenistan, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, Burundi, Trinidad & Tobago.
