On the evening of November 2, a Vietlott representative confirmed the above information. However, the identity and information about the winner have not been revealed.
At 7:50 p.m. the same day, a lottery agent selling electronic tickets in Tra Vinh confirmed that the agent in Ho Chi Minh City announced that today's special series of numbers had been sold to Tra Vinh province.
Vietlott representative said that the winner will have to pay 10% personal income tax on almost the entire amount of more than 64.8 billion (10 million is exempt from tax). Therefore, after paying all taxes, the special winner will receive about 59 billion VND in the form of bank transfer or cash.
Vietlott also stated that the grand prize winner can claim the prize at the Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho branch within 60 days. After this period, the ticket is no longer valid. When claiming the prize, the player must bring a valid winning ticket along with an ID card, citizen identification card or passport.
In this 46th drawing, in addition to the special prize, there are 79 first prizes (VND 10 million each), 4,255 second prizes (VND 300,000) and 66,894 third prizes (VND 30,000).
This is the second time the Mega 6/45 lottery has had a special prize winner. Just 2 weeks ago, on October 16, Ms. Dao’s family in Tra Vinh was lucky enough to win the Jackpot prize worth 92 billion VND, the largest lottery prize in Vietnam’s history.

In mid-July, Vietlott cooperated with Berjaya Group (Malaysia) to launch the Mega 6/45 lottery with a minimum total prize value of 12 billion VND. The Mega 6/45 Jackpot is continuously accumulated until there is a winner. After each round without a winner, the jackpot will continue to be added to the next round.
In the Southern region, Vietlott has agents in Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Binh Duong, Can Tho city and An Giang. According to a survey by Zing.vn reporters, in 11 provinces in the West that do not have Vietlott agents, computerized lottery tickets still appear in pre-printed form with a selling price of 11,000-12,000 VND/ticket (1,000-2,000 VND higher than the actual face value).
Before the Vietlott "storm", Mr. Do Quang Vinh - General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. (Chairman of the Southern Lottery Council) signed a document to send to the Ministry of Finance to report and make recommendations on computerized lottery activities. According to the Southern Lottery Council, the operation of computerized lottery is causing difficulties, affecting the stable development of the region.
From there, lottery companies promptly report and request the People's Committees of provinces and cities (especially where Vietlott has not yet deployed terminals) to direct functional agencies to monitor, inspect and handle violations of units and individuals illegally trading in electronic tickets to ensure market stability, protect the rights and local budget revenue.
The Southern Lottery Council also proposed a solution to "fight" illegal electronic ticket trading by issuing a notice prohibiting and imposing sanctions on all agents and traditional lottery ticket sellers who participate in selling Vietlott tickets at prices exceeding the prescribed price. In particular, level 1 lottery agents must disseminate and remind their distribution network to avoid violations and penalties.
