Vietnam ranks among the top 10 in the world for the number of engineers.

With 100,390 engineers graduating each year, Vietnam ranks 10th in this year's World Economic Forum ranking.

Forbes reports that Vietnam is among the top 10 countries with the largest number of engineers in the world, with 100,390 engineers graduating each year, according to a recent study conducted by the World Economic Forum (WEF). This study excluded China and India due to insufficient data collection.

Leading the list this year is Russia with 454,436 graduating engineers. The next position belongs to the United States with 237,826, while Iran ranks third with 233,695.

The ranking is based on Statista – one of the world's largest statistical organizations.

Notably, Southeast Asia has two representatives on the ranking: Vietnam (10th place) and Indonesia (5th place) with 140,169 engineers.

Forbes notes that for the past few decades, developed countries like Japan and the United States have consistently had the highest number of engineering graduates in the world. However, this trend appears to be changing, with a significant number of engineering, manufacturing, and construction graduates now coming from developing countries, including Vietnam.
