Vietnam grants temporary visa exemptions to citizens of 7 countries.
On December 29th, the Government issued Resolution No. 99/NQ-CP on temporary visa exemption for citizens of the Russian Federation, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, and the Republic of Finland.

Citizens of these countries entering Vietnam for a temporary stay of no more than 15 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, are exempt from visa requirements, provided they meet all the conditions stipulated by Vietnamese law.
The visa exemption policy for citizens of the above-mentioned countries entering Vietnam is in effect for a period of 5 years, from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019, and will be reviewed and extended in accordance with Vietnamese law.
The resolution takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation; it replaces the previous regulations on visa exemption for citizens of the above-mentioned countries.
