Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue met with Acting Senate President, Senator Orin Hatch in Washington during his visit to the United States from June 25-27.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue thanked Senator Orin Hatch for his support for Vietnam and appreciated the role of the US Congress in enhancing Vietnam-US cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam wishes to continue developing its comprehensive partnership with the United States on the basis of respecting each other's political institutions; and expressed readiness to cooperate with the United States to contribute to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Senator Orin Hatch highly appreciated Vietnam's innovation achievements, affirming that Vietnam is an important partner of the United States and that US President Donald Trump wants to further promote the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Partnership.
The Senator said he will continue to urge the United States to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in various fields, especially in supporting Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of war such as dioxin detoxification and supporting Agent Orange victims./.
