According to TASS on January 9, Russia has transferred and installed in Vietnam 4 Sazhen-TA stations used to monitor missile tests with a maximum range of up to 1,000km.

The Sazhen-TA monitoring-tracking system allows determining the trajectory, providing measurement ranges and angular coordinates of the test object in the visible and infrared ranges. Sazhen-TA is designed to record the flight phases of the missile with a maximum tracking range of up to 1,000 km. |

The unit responsible for delivery is the Russian company NPK "Precision Measuring Equipment Enterprise". |
"The installation, commissioning and putting into operation of four sets of 14SH27 latitude-longitude video positioning stations (Sazhen-TA system) have been completed," the NPK website said. |
Before the Russian side officially transferred the equipment, Vietnamese experts were trained and operated at the training grounds by Russia's current leading experts, TASS reported. |
Will Vietnam soon test a new domestically produced missile, and why did Vietnam buy 4 sets, when only 1-2 sets would be enough to test the missile, TASS reported. |
