Vietnam opposes the use of force to threaten the lives of Syrian people
Vietnam believes that all conflicts and disagreements must be resolved through peaceful means on the basis of international law.

Regarding Vietnam's response to the current developments in Syria, on April 15, 2018, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that Vietnam is concerned about the current situation in Syria and opposes the use of force that threatens the lives of innocent people as well as peace and stability in the region.
"We believe that all conflicts and disagreements must be resolved through peaceful means on the basis of international law, especially the United Nations Charter, on the principle of respecting the independence and sovereignty of nations. The United Nations Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons must be strictly complied with," the spokesperson emphasized./.
