Vietnam still ranks 4th in noodle consumption in the world after China, Indonesia and Japan.

Recent reports from the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) show that while in 2015 Vietnamese people reduced their consumption, in 2016 the market showed signs of recovery, with 4.920 billion noodle packages, an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous year. While in 2015, instant noodle consumption in Vietnam dropped sharply, in 2016 there were signs of recovery.

Vietnam still ranks fourth in the world in terms of noodle consumption after China, Indonesia and Japan. However, the market has not yet returned to its heyday as in 2013.

According to WINA, the Vietnamese noodle market is showing signs of recovery because the variety of products is increasing, giving consumers more choices. Although noodle products in this market are showing signs of recovery, it is still quite slow. This is also a common sign of the world market when consumption is still going down.

Confirming that the Vietnamese instant noodle market is showing signs of improvement, Mr. Kajiwara Junichi, General Director of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said that from 2016 to mid-2017, the company's revenue from instant noodle products increased by 5-20%.

As for Masan Consumer and Asia Foods, sales volume is still decreasing and there are no signs of recovery. These are the three largest instant noodle manufacturers, accounting for about 70% of the Vietnamese instant noodle market share./.
