The General Department of Customs has just announced the import-export situation for the first half of 2016. Accordingly, the total export turnover of Vietnam's goods reached more than 82 billion USD, an increase of 5.7%, equivalent to an increase of nearly 4.44 billion USD compared to the same period.

Of which, the export value of goods of FDI enterprises reached 57.34 billion USD, accounting for 69.8% of the total export value of the country.

The total value of imported goods reached over 80.43 billion USD, a slight decrease of 0.8% (equivalent to a decrease of 684 million USD) compared to the same period. Of which, the FDI sector contributed about 47.1 billion USD, accounting for 58.6% of Vietnam's total import value.

Export of 10 commodity groups with the largest turnover from June 15 to June 30, 2016 and accumulated to the end of June 2016.

Thus, total import-export turnover reached nearly 162.57 billion USD, up 2.4%, equivalent to an increase of more than 3.76 billion USD over the same period.

Of which, the total import-export turnover of foreign-invested enterprises reached more than 104.44 billion USD, accounting for 64.2% of the total import-export turnover of the whole country.

The country's trade surplus reached nearly 1.7 billion USD, of which the FDI enterprise sector reached 10.25 billion USD.
