Many contestants of Vietnam's Next Top Model All Stars 2017 in real life are very different from the images they show in the competition.

Vietnam's Next Top Model All Stars 2017 can be considered the most controversial reality TV show among audiences at the moment. After episode 4 aired, many viewers spoke out to boycott the show because it exploited too much the conflicts between the judges and the contestants.
Some even said that the contest painted "an unimaginably miserable face of Vietnamese models".
To have a more multi-dimensional view of this program, VTC News reporter recorded the sharing of Mr. Tran Hoang Dung, aka Dzung Yoko - who takes on the role of creative director for many famous fashion magazines in Vietnam.
"I have worked in the Vietnamese fashion industry for nearly ten years. In my personal opinion, Vietnam's Next Top Model has discovered and trained a number of professional models who have the qualities of height, charisma, and catwalk ability to shine in the fashion industry.
I have worked with many contestants in Vietnam's Next Top Model All Stars 2017 such as Thuy Duong, Nguyen Hop, Cha Mi... I saw that they worked very professionally, arrived on time, changed dozens of outfits, worked continuously for 8,9 hours without a single complaint.

Arguments, even physical fights, occurred in the shared house of contestants in Vietnam's Next Top Model All Stars 2017. |
Modeling, on the surface, looks glamorous and luxurious, but it is actually very hard. You have to love the job and fashion to be able to stick with it.
However, when I saw what they showed in Vietnam's Next Top Model All Stars 2017, I was really surprised. They got into arguments and had bad behaviors. They were not like the people I had met and worked with.
I see that the contestants are still very young. They are only in their early 20s, still immature, and do not have enough life experience to seriously orient their careers and build a clear image for the future. What they show in the program is because they are oriented or they themselves think it is good and hot, I do not know. But in any case, I think it is not a wise choice.
Being constantly mentioned in the competition means that the model's name is hot in the media, but being hot in that way, can one survive in this profession?
Brands and designers often prefer models with clean backgrounds, good statements and good personal lives. How will young models develop when they have already left an unflattering image in the public eye?

After I shared some of my opinions on my personal page, some people from the Vietnam's Next Top Model crew sent me messages with bad words. You work in television, but when someone has a different opinion, you are not satisfied.
I think, living in a civilized environment means we know how to accept comments, filter out good things to absorb and thereby contribute to making the fashion life and the model life better and better.
I love models very much, am passionate about Vietnamese fashion and I believe that those who love fashion, know models well, know how hard and difficult this profession is, all have the same opinion as me./.
