On August 10, accompanying the locality in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, Viettel Nghe An presented 300 million VND in support to the Provincial Fatherland Front and the Provincial Department of Health.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Canh Hoa - Director of Viettel Nghe An shared: "The Covid-19 epidemic is developing very complicatedly in many provinces and cities and in Nghe An province. On this occasion, Viettel Nghe An supports the Provincial Fatherland Front with 150 million VND and 150 million VND is donated to the Provincial Department of Health.

We hope that this support fund from Viettel will contribute to investing in medical equipment, joining hands with authorities at all levels and people in the work of preventing, fighting and soon repelling the Covid-19 epidemic."

It is known that the amount of 300 million VND that Viettel Nghe An sponsored for the locality this time is part of the nearly 16 billion VND budget that the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) donated to 63 provinces and cities across the country.

Previously, Viettel contributed 450 billion VND to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund. In addition, all Viettel officers and employees also donated 19 billion VND to build a Remote Consultation Center for the health sector.

Since the outbreak began in early 2020, with its strength as a technology enterprise, Viettel has supported the Government with many important solutions, effectively supporting the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Specifically, Viettel has built a Telehealth remote medical examination and treatment system to 1,300 medical facilities nationwide, deployed 700 connection points at hospitals with Covid-19 cases; built the "Vietnam Health" Portal and app, Medical declaration, Epidemic map, Electronic health book, Covid-19 vaccine passport nationwide.

Notably, in just 2 weeks, Viettel has installed and integrated nearly 4,000 surveillance cameras in quarantine areas in the northern provinces. Viettel's virtual switchboard operator (Cyber ​​Bot) has made more than 200,000 calls to subscribers who have not installed Bluezone to mobilize and instruct them on how to use it to protect themselves and the community from the Covid-19 epidemic.
