Vinamilk shares difficulties with children in flooded areas due to storm No. 10

(Baonghean.vn) - Through the visit to the Company by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vinamilk donated 160,000 milk boxes with a total value of 1 billion VND to children in the three provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An - places that suffered great damage in the recent storm No. 10.

In conjunction with the visit to Long An on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the province being awarded the title "Loyal and resilient, the whole people fight the enemy" (September 17, 1967 - September 17, 2017) and receiving the First Class Independence Medal for the second time, recently, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited Vinamilk's Vietnam Milk Factory in Binh Duong.

During the meeting, Ms. Mai Kieu Lien - General Director of Vinamilk reported to the National Assembly Chairman on the business results of the first 8 months of the year and Vinamilk's 5-year strategic orientation for the period 2017 - 20120. The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated Vinamilk's development over the past 40 years, impressed with the scale and modernity of the factory - one of the 3 most modern milk factories in the world.

This is not only the pride of Vinamilk but also the pride of the Vietnamese people. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan hopes that Vinamilk will continue to develop sustainably according to its business strategy.

In addition, the National Assembly Chairman also said that in recent times, there have been management regulations of state agencies that have led to difficulties in the development of enterprises. Through the visit of the National Assembly Chairman, Vinamilk donated 160,000 milk boxes worth VND1 billion to children in the three provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An - places that suffered great damage in the recent floods caused by storm No. 10; with the desire to share the difficulties and help children here have conditions to recover physically after the natural disaster.

In the first 6 months of this year, Vinamilk's sales and profits increased by nearly 12% and 17% respectively. This year's sales are expected to be around VND51,000 billion, profits VND12,000 billion and budget contributions of around VND4,200 billion. Vinamilk is currently one of the 50 largest dairy companies in the world in terms of revenue (according to KPMG 2016).
