Vinamilk appears in Fortune's first-ever list for the ASEAN region
Fortune magazine (USA) announced for the first time the Fortune 500 Southeast Asia 2024 list, in which Vinamilk is among the first 150 enterprises and is the only representative of the Vietnamese dairy industry in this ranking.
Leading Enterprise of Southeast Asia
Famous for its global Fortune 500, this is the first time the leading American economic magazine has released a list for the Southeast Asian region - Fortune 500 Southeast Asia. According to Fortune, these are the 500 largest companies, representing a dynamic region - contributing about 4,000 billion USD to global GDP and recording impressive growth rates.
The Fortune 500 Southeast Asia list is based on key criteria of revenue and net profit of enterprises. In addition, there are comprehensive surveys and assessments of company size, employees, and socio-economic contributions based on official, audited reports.


This year, the 500 companies in the ranking come from leading countries in the region such as Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines. With a revenue of more than 2.5 billion USD, Vinamilk is among the top 150 companies in the ranking and is the only Vietnamese dairy company on the list.

Vinamilk is also known as the most valuable food brand in Southeast Asia with a valuation of 3 billion USD, according to Brand Finance's 2023 brand report.
Southeast Asia is also one of Vinamilk’s key markets with strengths. Here, the company has invested in a series of key projects, including a factory in Cambodia, a dairy farm complex in Laos and a food and beverage joint venture in the Philippines. Vinamilk’s products have been exported to all ASEAN countries and recorded positive growth.

Southeast Asia is increasingly asserting its important role in the global economy. Specifically, after the pandemic and economic crisis, a series of large multinational companies in the world have shifted their supply chains to this region. Foreign direct investment has skyrocketed, combined with a young and growing population of up to 680 million people, and stable exchange rates, this region is emerging as an attractive market.
Business heffective and sustainable
Officially listed on the stock exchange since 2006, Vinamilk has always been in the group of companies with the largest market capitalization in Vietnam. Compared to the time of listing, Vinamilk's revenue has increased 9 times, capitalization reached more than 141,000 billion VND and total cash dividends paid is more than 80,000 billion VND.
Vinamilk currently manages 16 domestic and foreign factories, 15 dairy farms, with a herd of 140,000 dairy cows, supplying more than one million liters of raw fresh milk every day. In 2023, Vinamilk's revenue will reach 60,479 billion VND and consolidated pre-tax profit will be more than 10,968 billion VND. The company maintains the leading market share in the Vietnamese dairy industry with a distribution system of more than 200,000 points of sale, covering 63 provinces/cities.

Expected business results for the first 6 months of 2024 are showing positive growth momentum, with positive revenue growth in both domestic and export business segments.
In the international market, Vinamilk continues to show that its export strategies are on the right track. Accordingly, net revenue from export activities in 2023 will reach more than VND5,000 billion, up 4.4% over the previous year. In the first 5 months of this year alone, export revenue is estimated to increase by 20% over the same period. After 25 years of exporting, Vinamilk has successfully explored 60 markets, with total revenue reaching 3.2 billion USD.

Not only is Vinamilk highly appreciated for its business performance, it is also a leading enterprise in sustainable development and ESG practices in Vietnam. Less than a year since pioneering the announcement of its roadmap to Net Zero 2050, Vinamilk has 3 units including 2 factories and a farm that are carbon neutral according to PAS2060:2014 standards.
