This is the result of Vinamilk's efforts in successfully applying the Global GAP system of good agricultural practices, keeping up with the current trend of high-tech and sustainable agricultural development in the world.
Global GAP is an internationally recognized set of farm standards for good agricultural practices (GAP). This standard is considered a useful tool today to help agricultural producers orient their production activities towards sustainable development in line with the general trend of the world. In addition to factors related to food safety, producers also need to ensure responsibility to the environment, society and ensure traceability of products.
At the same time, the production process of products is proven in terms of: sustainability, concern for human and animal health; safety and social welfare of workers, and the environment. Therefore, farms that meet Global GAP standards are the basis for producing products that meet international standards in terms of quality and the key for agricultural products in countries to penetrate "difficult" markets such as the EU, the US, etc.

The journey from international standard dairy cow "resorts" to delicious fresh milk in every Vietnamese family. |
“Vinamilk’s largest dairy farm system in Asia, meeting Global GAP standards, contributes to increasing the value chain for the dairy farming industry and building a transparent market for product origin in Vietnam in particular and Asia in general. This is also the foundation for high-tech agricultural production, aiming for responsible and sustainable development. We feel very honored to accompany Vinamilk on the journey of building this farm system!”
With the goal of preserving the essential freshness of fresh milk products, instead of concentrating in one locality, Vinamilk invests in farms spread across the country to take advantage of land funds and typical climate and soil conditions in each region such as: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Binh Dinh, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh... The farm system is always strictly monitored during the construction process to ensure the production of raw fresh milk that meets the technical standards of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, international CODEX standards and meets Global GAP standards right at the time of inauguration of the farms.
More importantly, the construction of the farm is calculated to scientifically connect with the company's 13 processing plants across the country. Immediately after being milked, raw fresh milk will be refrigerated and transported immediately to the production site with the shortest travel time, ensuring the purity and natural flavor of the fresh milk. At the same time, with a closed production process, Vinamilk's products always ensure product quality according to the standards of the Ministry of Health as well as international standards.![]() |

The total herd of cows supplying milk to Vinamilk is currently approximately 130,000, providing more than 950 tons of raw fresh milk per day. With a series of investment projects and expansion of raw material areas that have been and are being implemented, Vinamilk's total herd is expected to increase to about 200,000 cows by 2020, with raw fresh milk output expected to more than double by 2020. Thus, despite fluctuations in the world milk market and foreign exchange rates, Vinamilk can still proactively plan production and ensure price stability for domestic and export products.
